Herb Schreiner (82) was born in Hawaii. He was in school before being enlisted. His military service carried out from 1949 to 1960. During his service period, he went to Seoul and was stationed at Kimpo Air Base from August of 1953. He served in the 4th Fighter Group and the 91st Fighter Squad as a Sergeant TSGT before his discharge. He was in charge of aircraft mechanics and F86-Saber sets, and was a part of keeping the airways safe for ground troops. After he returned from the rotation, he went to Hickam, and after he was discharged, he did construction work. The most memorable experience in the war for him was helping those less fortunate; those who suffered the pains of war. The thing that impacted him most during the war was the life style, though he has no wounds. He enjoys fishing, golfing, and travelling.
